He is the Founder & Executive Director of Queer Run, an organization in Philadelphia established to strengthen the bonds between LGBTQIA+ athletes and allies in the community. They go on weekly group runs, and collaborate with organizations in the community to promote inclusivity in the sport. They pride themselves on the motto "Everyone is welcome", and they stand by it.
Cain also assists HOKA with events in the Philadelphia community, and in return they support him with his goals of creating a more inclusive environment for the LGBTQIA+ community in athletics.
He recently ran across the state of Pennsylvania, 361 miles in 10 days (running between 16-51 miles a day, depending on circumstances), 26,348 ft of elevation change. He ran from the PA / WV border, to the PA / NJ border. He did this to raise money for The Trevor Project, which provides a 24/7 suicide hotline for LGBTQIA+ youth, counselling services and education for them and their families.

Katie, a former collegiate softball player and long time sales and supply chain leader. For Katie, the unfulfilled yearning was knowing that she was not living her true life calling. A deep desire to live a life of service and to truly raise up individuals, families and communities - is what drives her. By actively participating in everyday life with them, being present not just physically, but by sharing those little moments that are truly precious and so meaningful. ‘’I know that living authentically is the most powerful thing I can do for myself”, says Katie.
A Running Group for the Future.
We put the word “Queer” at the forefront of everything we do. Many people view “Queer” as being a negative, derogatory term. The more we say it, the more you read it, the more the world hears it, the less derogatory it feels and the more empowering it becomes. We are not a bad word.
We are human.
Queer Run was established in April 2022 and is dedicated to creating a safe space for LGBTQIA+ athletes and allies in the community. Inclusion and mental health are very important to us, and we welcome people from every background to join us for our FREE weekly group runs, Mondays at 8pm, meeting in Rittenhouse Square.
We are stronger together than we are alone.
